Phillip Schofield’s best pal Holly Willoughby made sure he knows where her loyalties lie following a very public blasting from fellow ITV star Eamonn Holmes.
Eamonn, 62, said in an interview that 59-year-old Phillip is “renowned for snubbing people” and called him “passive-aggressive”, finally lifting the lid on the much-rumoured rift between Eamonn, his wife Ruth Langsford, 61, and Phil.
The comments were made just before Phillip celebrated 40 years on TV, which led This Morning co-host Holly, 41, to jump in to defend him against the scathing remarks.
“Phil’s This Morning family are rallying around him after the comments, none more so than Holly,” our source said.
