Our obsession with Zendaya was solidified in 2017 when she starred as trapeze artist Anne Wheeler, the love interest of Zac Efron’s character, in The Greatest Showman.
Before the hit movie musical, the 24-year-old actress and singer made her film debut in Spider-Man: Homecoming and has since played a drug addict in teen drama Euphoria.
Despite her worldwide fame, Zendaya comes across as very down-to-earth as she tells us she wants to use her influence for the good. Although she’s been linked to her Euphoria co-star Jacob Elordi, she is now single and tells us she longs for someone to watch Netflix and eat “some good food” with at home.
Here, she reveals her plans for the future, which stars inspire her and her top beauty hacks…
Hi Zendaya! You’ve achieved so much at a young age. Is there anything still on your bucket list of things you’d love to do?
There are many things I still want to do and I’m still so young. There are so many roles I’d like to take on, but as I become more well known, I want to continue to use my influence for good.
Speaking of influences, who is your idol?
Beyoncé!
Have there been any co-stars who you’ve been in awe of?
Working with Hugh Jackman was amazing. He could see I was struggling with my fear of heights while filming the trapeze scenes [in The Greatest Showman]. He said to me, “Zendaya, you’re a badass” and reassured me I could it. I remember thinking, “Oh my goodness, Wolverine just called me a badass!”
How cool! Who would be your dream actor to collaborate with?
Every movie Denzel Washington has ever done I’ve loved – it would be an absolute dream to work with him.
