‘Insecure' Ruth's relief as she's backed by TV bosses

As Ruth Langsford worries she may be axed from This Morning, a TV insider tells new the star has nothing to fear

With ITV’s timely pledge to improve inclusion on and off screen with a Diversity Acceleration Plan, it’s believed veteran This Morning presenter Ruth Langsford is said to be fearful she could be up for the chop. But an insider at the channel tells new her bosses are backing her, while hubby Eamonn Holmes is her biggest fan.

“It’s been a worrying few weeks for Ruth, but ITV has made it clear to her that she’s still a valued member of the family and that she has a place on our screens,” revealed our source. “It’s been a huge relief to know the company is on her side, but equally Ruth understands how seriously ITV takes diversity and she fully supports the pledge.”
