Anyone who’s had the pleasure of seeing Josie Gibson in action on This Morning won’t be surprised to know that the hilarious presenter is exactly the same in real life as she is on the telly. And obviously we are delighted about this as the Bristol-born 37-year-old is a total joy to watch.
Josie is officially here to talk to us about her work with WW (formerly known as Weight Watchers) and her wellness goals for 2022. But we veer off topic and discuss matters such as the parenting tips her pal and fellow This Morning presenter Alison Hammond has been sharing with her and how she copes with her three-year-old son Reg when he’s naughty.
The star, who found fame in 2010 as the winner of Big Brother and split up with Reggie’s dad Terry just five months after he was born, also tells us how the exhausting aspects of motherhood caused her weight to increase and how she was caught in a “vicious circle” and “eating crap”.
Here, Josie, who now has an amicable relationship with Terry, tells us why she doesn’t have much time for romance and why she isn’t ready for Reggie to go to school yet…
Hi Josie! Can you describe what kind of mum you are?
I would say I’m quite fun, I reckon. I also feel quite guilty – I worry if I’m putting him in enough classes – am I doing enough of this with him, am I doing enough of that with him? Should I be getting him a tutor? All that kind of thing. Then I’d say I’m a provider. And very loving. We love a snuggle me and Reg and we still sleep together.
Tell us about how WW has changed your life…
