Nathan Henry and Declan Doyle are the image of love's young dream as we catch up for a chat, gazing adoringly at each other and playfully winding one another up. The couple, who met us for a photoshoot in Central London, rekindled their relationship in the current series of Celebrity Ex On The Beach, having dated for two months before doing the show.
"As soon as he came in, I was following him around like a lost puppy," Geordie Shore icon Nathan, 31, tells us. "I'm not dropping names but I think some people got in relationships for TV. I ain't into showmances - I'm into romances!"
It's clear Declan, a 32-year-old barber from London, is equally as smitten with Nathan, who he describes as his "best friend".
They are quick to discuss their future and open up about moving in together - and even share their wedding plans.
Although things now appear blissful, both have faced their struggles. Declan is celebrating two years being teetotal this May and reveals if he hadn't given up drinking, he believes he would have died. Meanwhile, Nathan shares stories of the homophobic abuse he's been subjected to from a young age.
Having overcome all of that makes this interview even more special for Nathan - it's his first shoot with a boyfriend, which he describes as an "honour".
"There's not much coverage of gay men in the media," he tells us. “Doing this is massive! If my 16-year-old self opened up this mag and saw two handsome men talking about their relationship, that would have given me the courage to be my authentic self at such a young age."
Here, Nathan and Declan open up on finding The One...
