It is 35 years since Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey became movie legends with their sizzling performance in hit flick Dirty Dancing.
Now, in a dance challenge like no other, 10 celebrities are set for the time of their lives recreating scenes from the film as they fight it out to be crowned the best Baby and Johnny in new E4 reality show The Real Dirty Dancing.
Over the course of a few weeks, the famous faces including TV presenter Anthea Turner, 61, Hollyoaks actress Chelsee Healey, 33, and Strictly ‘s Saffron Barker, 21, will take a series of acting masterclasses and get a chance to dance with each other as they try to impress the show’s hosts, The Pussycat Dolls’ singer Ashley Roberts and comedian Keith Lemon.
The two with the best moves will perform the film’s Time Of My Life routine in front of a packed audience of Dirty Dancing super fans.
So as the celebrities prepare to get down and dirty, new caught up with TOWIE ’s James ‘Arg’ Argent, 34, Blue singer Lee Ryan, 38, Geordie Shore’s Marnie Simpson, 30, and actress Verona Rose, 37, to bring us up to speed on all the gossip.

Why did you want to be part of The Real Dirty Dancing?
I love Dirty Dancing. To try and become Johnny, you’ve got to feel sexy and confident. So it just all came at the perfect time for me, really. I felt like I was in a really good headspace and happy and confident. So it was kind of the perfect show for me at the perfect time.
You had to show off your Dirty Dancing skills within minutes of arriving. How was that?
