He has spent so much time in Australia that he calls it his ‘adopted home.’ But there was one very special difference during Joel Madden’s latest trip Down Under – he was joined by his wife Nicole Richie.

Looking every bit like a man in love, the 39-year-old rocker kept a protective arm around Nicole as they sailed around Sydney Harbour with their kids Harlow, 10, and Sparrow, eight, on March 25. And while the tribe is officially here for Joel’s latest tour with his and twin brother Benji’s band Good Charlotte, the trip has also been an opportunity for some quality family time. ‘It’s fun,’ Nicole, 36, says of touring. ‘It’s a very cool experience, especially for the kids.’
