Blake Lively has made the biggest possible pregnancy statement on the red carpet for her hubby Ryan Reynolds’ new film Pokémon Detective Pikachu – by debuting a stand-out baby bump. And OK! can exclusively reveal the pair are expecting their first baby boy!

The mum-to-be looked fabulous in a yellow dress with a bumpy accessory at the premiere in New York on May 2 – so it didn’t take Detective Pikachu long to work out the rumours were true and Blake is some months into her pregnancy.

‘Blake has tried to get pregnant again for years, and it’s been a tough time – [she felt like] she didn’t want to try again,’ says an insider. ‘So when she got pregnant again, she really wanted it to be a secret for as long as she could keep it hidden.

‘Ryan actually wanted to try again sooner, but Blake wasn’t ready because she was so scared things wouldn’t work out,’ continues the source. ‘Now she’s in heaven!’ Meanwhile, a second insider described the mood as ‘happy and excited’.
