Camilla departs after her visit to Broadcasting House
WINNING PERFORMANCE
The Duchess of Cornwall has long been an avid supporter of the theatre so she was clearly delighted to pay her first visit to the National Theatre in London as its royal patron last week.
Having taken over the role from Meghan Markle, who stepped back as a senior royal in 2020 with her husband Prince Harry, Camilla seemed to enjoy herself very much.
The duchess, 74, looked as sophisticated as ever in a simple dark grey skirt suit with a statement brooch. The ensemble was accessorized beautifully with pearl earrings, a blue scarf and a navy Chanel handbag.
She met with National Theatre's executive director Kate Varah and director Rufus Norris before watching a 10-minute workshop on The Odyssey, by members of the National's Public Acts company.
Later, the duchess met with representatives from departments across the National Theatre including the prop and costume teams, cast members and puppeteers from one of the theatre's recent shows, The Ocean At The End Of The Lane.
