It's no wonder Emma Willis is one of the nation's favourite presenters. When we catch up with the star to discuss her latest show, she is as candid, friendly and down-to-earth as ever, leaving us feeling like we've had a good old natter with a friend.
We've seen Emma go from presenting on MTV to Big Brother, then major primetime shows such as The Voice UK. She also trained to work in a maternity unit on Emma Willis: Delivering Babies and recently guided celebrities through culinary adventures on Cooking With The Stars.
Now she's teaming up with pal Nick Grimshaw to present a new six-part Channel 4 series, The Great Home Transformation, where they meet people whose homes are in desparate need of makeovers.
Emma admits she's like many of the people they help on the show when it comes to home decor. While she knows what she likes, Emma says she doesn't have confidence to make her vision a reality.
"Because I've never really done it, I need a bit of hand-holding," says Emma, 45. "But we're all capable of so much more than we really know. It's the fear of doing it wrong for me. And nobody wants to waste money. So I'm just going to ask someone who knows what they're doing."
And with the demands of work and family life - with husband Matt Willis, 38, and kids Isabelle, 12, Ace, 10 and Trixie, five - Emma says their Hertfordshire home needs attention.
"When we moved in, we did some building work to our house and it took about nine months. And when we'd finished it - the walls were painted white, there was furniture and it was clean - we were just like, 'Right, it's liveable. Let's just live in it for a bit.' We still haven't decorated. I mean, that's a bit of a disaster!"
