Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford are easily one of our favourite TV couples, making us feel at home on This Morning when filling in for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield. And the relationship we see on screen is real, as Eamonn tells us he loves the way Ruth looks and “the fact she’s so bossy” when we catch up for our interview.
The star – father to Declan, 32, Rebecca, 30, Niall, 28, and Jack, 19 – has been busy battling health issues and becoming a grandad, and is now hosting new BBC cooking contest Farm To Feast: Best Menu Wins. But he admits Ruth is the chef in their household.

Hi, Eamonn! How long has your love for Ruth been blooming now?
We’ve just celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary but we’ve been together 26 years.
And how have you kept happy domestic life from boiling over into hostility?
That’s a good question. I’m a very romantic sort of guy and I’ve never fallen out of love with her.
