Learning Curve - ‘Everything About Marriage Is An Adventure'

Happily married for two years, things only appear to be going from strength to strength for Priyanka Chopra Jonas and her singer hubby Nick.

And in our exclusive interview with the Indian actress, she openly tells us she “loves being married” and gushes about their relationship. “It’s a partnership and it’s wonderful,” she says.

As well as a deep dive into her personal life, the 38-year-old tells us she is currently on our shores filming her latest project, a TV show for Amazon – although she admits working in a pandemic certainly has its challenges.

“Even though all of the safety measures are being taken, it’s scary,” she reveals.

“We get tested every day and everyone has masks. Everyone keeps a distance from the actors especially, because we are the ones who take our masks off to do the scenes. We’re highly susceptible, so it’s scary and crazy, but I’m also grateful to be able to go back to work. I’m grateful to be actually working,” she adds.

Here, Priyanka – who was crowned Miss World in 2000 – talks about her hopes to make more Bollywood movies, the lessons she’s learnt over the years, and being vulnerable in her upcoming memoir Unfinished...

You’ve been living in the UK with your husband Nick Jonas for a couple of months. How’s married life treating you?

I love being married. I’m learning all of the time, which I love. We are both trying to catch up on each other’s years of upbringing, which is amazing and beautiful. That’s the greatest thing about marriage – the learning. Especially when you find the person that’s just right. Everything about marriage is an adventure. It’s full of curiosity and excitement.
