John Partridge is best known as EastEnders’ Christian “vest and muscles” Clarke. But the 50-year-old was a musical theatre performer long before he headed to Albert Square in 2008.
“It’s almost like a secret and I love that I still surprise so many people,” he says of the public discovering his talent for singing and dancing.
John also tells us that he has been faced with many challenges during his stage career including discovering a devastating cyst on his left vocal cord. “I wasn’t allowed to speak for three months, and I had to go into speech therapy after that,” he reveals, adding, “We didn’t think I would speak again.”
But the former soap star has come back fighting, revealing he still has “a lot of fish to fry” in his career, and is set to prove the world is his oyster…
