The Queen looked elegant and poised as she posed for her official portrait to mark the Platinum Jubilee ahead of the festivities last week.
The longest-reigning monarch in history sat in the Victoria Vestibule at one of her favourite royal residences, Windsor Castle, for the picture taken by photographer Ranald Mackechnie.
Wearing an Angela Kelly coat and dress in dove blue, embellished with pearl and diamante trim, our 96-year-old Queen was captured with the Castle’s Round Tower in the background, along with the statue of King Charles II.
