Since our last sit-down with Tracy Melchior in 2015, she has expanded her range of duties, both professionally and personally. Acting is still her first love, however, and Melchior is looking forward to her upcoming role on the long-running CBS hit CRIMINAL MINDS, set to air in January. “My part’s not huge, but the episode is huge and that’s the cool part,” she enthuses. “Since the show is ending after 15 seasons — and ironically, 15 is my favorite number — the last few episodes are like a little trilogy, and I’m part of that. It’s pretty cool!”
Melchior reports that she thoroughly enjoyed the experience of being a part of the show. “Coming into something like that, you feel like the new kid at school arriving mid-semester. But it never felt like that,” she relays. “I could not believe how nice everyone was. My days weren’t even very long. It’s a well-oiled machine. The atmosphere was wonderful. It was a great gig. In fact, the director was like, ‘Why are we just meeting you now, at the end?’ I was like, ‘Ugh!’ That’s the story of my life. I got on SUNSET BEACH and then it got canceled. It’s like, ‘Oh, man!’ ”
