In the months following Andre’s murder, “Dr. Laura” and “Gabby” have been fighting for control of Abigail. The story has largely taken place inside the DiMera household — and inside Abigail’s fractured psyche. The alters made themselves known only to Stefan and Vivian, who were in no rush to tell anyone or get Abigail help, while Chad, Jennifer and the rest of Abigail’s loved ones chalked up her odd behavior to her grief over Andre. But when Chad walked in on his wife’s body, if not her personality, in bed with Stefan, her cover was blown. In scenes beautifully performed by Billy Flynn (Chad), Tyler Christopher (Stefan) and Marci Miller (Abigail et al), Chad beat Stefan to a bloody pulp, and Gabby ran off into the night.
