ALREADY FACING POSSIBLE PRISON TIME FOR HER INVOLVEMENT IN THE COLLEGE ADMISSIONS SCANDAL, LORI LOUGHLIN MUST NOW TEND TO A MARRIAGE THAT’S BUCKLING UNDER THE STRAIN.
LORI Loughlin was in denial. In the months after the actress and her fashion designer husband, Mossimo Giannulli, were charged with fraud for allegedly forking over $500,000 in bribes to get their daughters into the prestigious University of Southern California, it was business as usual for the seemingly remorseless star. Even as her world began crumbling around her — her family was irrevocably fractured, she was promptly fired from Hallmark’s When Calls the Heart and Netflix’s Fuller House, and her squeaky clean public image took a massive hit — Lori refused to believe she’d done anything wrong.
But she can no longer ignore the harsh reality of her situation. Not only is the formerly beloved Full House star likely looking at some serious prison time, her once rock-solid marriage is also unraveling at the seams. Lori, 55, and Mossimo, 56, “are cracking under the pressure now,” says an insider, who reveals that the couple, who’ve been together for 21 years and are parents to Isabella Rose, 20, and Olivia Jade, 19, could be headed for a split. “They’re convinced they’re done for — the stress is so unbearable. Something has to give,” says the source, suggesting that the “something” is their relationship. “They’ve both raised the issue of divorce, and they’ve each met with lawyers to get legal advice on how to handle a split amid all the chaos.”
