If you’re a fan of local content, the chances of you having seen actor Nimrod Nkosi on your small screen is pretty much a given. Having appeared in several guest and presenting roles in a multitude of local productions, Nimrod is practically part of the family.
Having joined Generations – The Legacy (2014-now) early last year, fans of the soapie have come to both love and hate his character Walter Nkaba. The headstrong politician, with a penchant for young escorts, has bumped heads with some of the most powerful men in the show. Who could forget his attempt to poison the seemingly immortal Jack Mabaso (Vusi Kunene) in April 2019 in a bid to prevent Jack from revealing his dark secret – that he accidentally shot and killed his girlfriend offscreen many years earlier. The two men faced off in grand fashion and, according to Nimrod, it was an absolute highlight for him. “Acting opposite Vusi Kunene? What more could I ask for?”
Nimrod says excitedly. “He’s an asset to this country and a truly brilliant actor. That’s inspiration enough to not mess up my scenes with him!”
Speaking to Nimrod, it becomes clear that he is worlds apart from his onscreen Generations character. “Oh, he’s the total opposite of who I am!”
