STARS OF THE HIT ’90S SHOW ARE SPEAKING OUT AGAINST ITS CREATOR

The success of much-loved show Buffy the Vampire Slayer has been tainted, with a number of the cast speaking out after creator Joss Whedon was hit with damning allegations about his on-set behaviour. The first and most direct claims came from actress Charisma Carpenter, who shared that the prominent film and TV director “abused his power on numerous occasions” while they worked together on the set of the hit show.

“While he found his misconduct amusing, it only served to intensify my performance anxiety, disempower me, and alienate me from my peers,” the 50-year-old, who played Cordelia Chase, said in an emotional Instagram post. “The disturbing incidents triggered a chronic physical condition from which I still suffer. It’s with a beating, heavy heart that I say I coped in isolation and, at times, destructively.”
