David Campbell ‘MY BATTLE FOR SELF-WORTH'

He’s one of Australia’s most popular entertainers. Boasting success in the charts, on the stage and the small screen – as both an actor, singer and presenter – David Campbell has enjoyed a career that most performers can only dream of.

In addition to co-hosting Today Extra and presenting his own top-rating national weekend show on Smooth FM, the multiplatinum-selling singer has recorded three top 10 albums, sold out concert tours from coast to coast and notched up a string of big budget theatre credits. In short, he’s a bonafide triple threat. But then, given that his father is legendary rock’n’roller Jimmy Barnes, his talents are hardly surprising.

Ahead of returning to the stage as the lead in an upcoming production of Alfred Hitchcock’s iconic flick North by Northwest, the 48-year-old versatile performer opens up to WHO about fame, family, holiday traditions and his hopes for the future.

What can we expect from the stage adaptation of North by Northwest?
