FANS TURN ON Adele

Hours before Adele was due to kick off her Weekends with Adele Las Vegas residency, the singer filmed an emotional message to her fans. “I’m so sorry, but my show ain’t ready. We’ve tried absolutely everything that we can to put it together in time and for it to be good enough for you, but we’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and COVID,” she tearfully said from her Caesars Palace suite, where she remains holed up with her management team and boyfriend Rich Paul. “Half my crew, half my team is down with COVID and it’s been impossible to finish the show. I can’t give you what I have right now. I’m gutted, and I’m sorry it’s so last minute. We’ve run out of time. I’m so upset and really embarrassed.”

She wasn’t the only one devastated by the news. Many fans, including those who had travelled from across the world, were furious at the short notice given, taking to social media to vent their frustration. “Seriously? Postpone if you need to, that’s fine – but 28 hours before? I flew in this morning,” wrote one user. “Are you going to refund me my flight, hotel, and the rapid COVID test that was mandatory? This is so f--ked up.”
