Few people are more in control of their image than Kim Kardashian. When she makes a move, people notice, and eagle-eyed fans quickly noted when she clicked to unfollow fellow A-lister Miley Cyrus on Instagram. The social media slam came days after the ‘Wrecking Ball’ singer co-hosted a New Year’s Eve special, Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party, with the reality star’s new boyfriend, Pete Davidson, sparking talk the click was motivated by jealousy.

Indeed, while promoting the gig, Cyrus didn’t hold back. “BIG DEBUT ENERGY Pete & I are official! CO-HOSTS that is!” she posted on December 9 alongside a pic of herself with her arms around the smiling comedian. During a promotional appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the duo shared a story about how they got matching tattoos after bonding during Cyrus’ 2017 Saturday Night Live appearance. Cyrus turned up the flirt factor even more, serenading Davidson with a cover of Yvonne Fair’s ‘It Should Have Been Me’, cheekily changing the lyrics to poke fun at his budding love with Kardashian. “Pete Davidson, how are you gonna do this to me?” she sang. “Oh yeah, it should’ve been me in that Lamborghini leaving that nice a-- restaurant. I’m going to watch a movie in freaking Staten Island.” Page Six also reported that Cyrus’ SUV was seen pulling into the parking lot of Davidson’s Staten Island condo after the taping. “They left NBC around 8.30 and arrived at Pete’s place around 9.40pm,” a source said.
