Princess Charlene: NO WAY BACK

Grace Kelly shattered the myth that being a princess is easy when she said: “The idea of my life as a fairytale is itself a fairytale.” Almost 40 years after Grace’s death, her daughter-in-law continues to struggle with life in the spotlight.

After a difficult year that saw Princess Charlene spend months separated from her twins while she convalesced in South Africa following medical issues, 2022 doesn’t seem to be getting off to a better start. The former Olympic swimmer, 43, remains separated from Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, both 7, outside of Monaco, where she is being treated for physical and emotional exhaustion.

“She was overwhelmed and couldn’t face duties, life in general or even family,” her husband Prince Albert, 63, confirmed. “She realised herself that she needed treatment.”
