WILL & KATE Coming to AMERICA

While the past two years have seen Princes William and Harry on ‘’different paths’’, it isn’t just their priorities that have separated the royal brothers but thousands of kilometres as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex started their new life in the US. Following months of Harry and wife Meghan Markle lashing out at their Windsor relatives, next year will see the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge take them on in their new stomping ground.

During the inaugural Earthshot Awards ceremony in London on October 17, William, 39, made the shock announcement that in 2022 he would be moving his prestigious environmental award across the pond.

“I hope you agree that London and the UK has put on quite a show for our first year,” William announced on stage. “So for the second year, we need to pass the baton to a country whose leadership is essential for all five of our Earthshots. Where better than the nation that inspired the moonshot all those years ago. I’m delighted to announce that the Earthshot Prize will be heading to the United States of America in 2022,’’ he added.

Just days before the big public announcement, royal expert Duncan Larcombe revealed to Closer that William and Kate were in the midst of planning a secret tour to the States for next year. “A royal tour to the US is long overdue,’’ Larcombe, who penned biography Prince Harry: The Inside Story, told the magazine. “They are one of the most important allies [for the UK] and there is a huge appetite for royals over there,’’ he added.
