Nanoleaf Lines Starter Kit

The Nanoleaf Lines can even mirror the colours displayed on your Mac or TV (provided its connected by HDMI).

You have an almost infinite number of patterns and shapes - with a possible 100 billion layouts

Thanks to the wonders of LED lighting, you can now create an incredible number of looks for your home – and helping you stay at the forefront of that is Nanoleaf, whose smart light innovations have given us everything from multicolour bulbs (from £17.99) to the shades-ofbeige Elements (£199, MF369) and, of course, our favourite, the Shapes Hexagon (£119, MF359).

The Nanoleaf Lines are different again. Available in Starter Kits comprising nine Lines (£179.99, on test here), 15 Lines (£279.99) and as a three-Lines expansion pack (£49.99), they eschew the usual Nanoleaf aesthetic of front-lit panels opting for backlit lighting strips instead. And rather than sit flush against the wall, the Lines are mounted on hexagonal connectors, enabling the Lines to sit 2.5cm above the surface and splash their multicoloured beams backwards onto it. Each connector, which comes with double-sided tape for easy mounting, relays power and lighting instructions to the next Lines strip. The whole thing is finished with a controller that enables you to switch the lights on and off, increase/decrease the brightness and switch them into different play modes, or you can use the free Nanoleaf apps for iOS, iPadOS and Mac instead.
