Poor Posture Need Not Be A Permanent Condition

How many times were we told as children, “Stand up straight and don’t slouch”? Parents also told us that the cause of poor posture was simply laziness.

If only it was that easy! Walking around standing straight with our head up may be a slightly effective way of covering up our poor posture, but it will not cure the underlying problem - and anyway, who can concentrate on maintaining this 24 hours a day?

The downside of poor posture

The ‘body language’ of poor posture can lead to low self esteem, negative perception by others, physical disability and pain. Thus, poor posture can hold you back in every aspect of you life.

On the other hand, good posture says a lot about a person. People who are erect appear taller, more attractive and subtly exude confidence.
