CABSAT 2020 is back with its action-packed 26th edition—here to promise an exciting line-up of the latest in by means of its newly evolved format—designed to gather some of the best creative minds, technology innovators and media leaders on a unified global stage to lead the future of storytelling. Right from the ‘eureka’ point of content creation to the moment of production, sharing and consumption, this year CABSAT might be the holy-grail for media. The show boasts of over 14000 attendees, over 450 exhibiting brands, more than 100 hours of content, and over 75 eminent speakers—all gathered under one roof. “Each person in at Content Marketplace and in the global community has a passion around this ‘thing’… and this thing is a piece of great content,” commented Ashish Sheth, ex-manger, Enterprise Solutions, Netflix. Industry professions belonging to the content creation industry, production and broadcast segments, satellite companies, content distribution and delivery organisations, are expected to be there at the three-day event.
Content is the pivot on which things revolve during CABSAT, every year. From a noteworthy rise in the popularity of Virtual Reality (VR) to downloading entire films in seconds via 5G, the media and entertainment industry will be unrecognisable in years to come, according to a CABSAT report. A new world order is installed where people routinely multi-screen and OTT is the new ‘it.’ Attention spans are short, sharing is big, social media dominates people’s lives. The content industry is witnessing disruption like never before.
