Millennials have their priorities clear when it comes to life goals. According to a 2016 study by Growth from Knowledge (GfK) and Airbnb, over 70 per cent millennials in the US, UK, and China said that travelling is more important to them than buying a home, paying off debt, or purchasing a car. We respect these sentiments, after all, what’s life without experiencing what it has to offer to the fullest? And who likes being tied down to an often-boring old desk job when you heart is in the Andes and your soul is swimming with the dolphins off the Patagonia coast? Well, none of us, actually, if it were not for a small but deeply disturbing fact that travel is expensive, correction, very expensive! And just to put your fantasy in perspective, a one-way ticket to Buenos Aires (the closest airport for Patagonia) costs approximately ₹75,000 from Delhi, and that would just be the start of your journey!
So, while it may seem terribly romantic to put down your papers and set off on your adventure, it may not be quite financially feasible to do so. We spoke to a few intrepid travellers and got them to share their clever tips for travelling without jeopardising your career.
