Return to Dunblane with Lorraine Kelly
Thursday, ITV HD, 9pm
On the morning of 13 March 1996, 43-year-old Thomas Hamilton walked into Dunblane Primary School in Scotland and opened fire on a class of five- and six-year-olds as they were having a PE lesson in the gymnasium.
In just a few minutes, he murdered 16 children and teacher Gwen Mayor, before turning the gun on himself, in the only school shooting in British history.
At the time, Lorraine Kelly reported on the massacre for breakfast TV show GMTV, and the memory of the terrible tragedy still haunts her to this day.
