NEW HORROR

From Tue, 9pm & 10pm, Sky Sci-Fi & Sky Showcase (box set, Sky Box Sets/NOW)

The Syfy channel is being rebranded as Sky Sci-Fi from 11am on Tuesday 26 July, when it will become home to both exciting new sci-fi shows and cult classics (see panel, right).

Premiering on launch night will be the10-part horror thriller series From, starring Harold Perrineau (Lost) and set in a mysterious town in America.

The Matthews family wind up in the unnamed town after getting lost on a road trip and, although local sheriff Boyd Stevens (Perrineau) directs them onto the highway, all roads lead them back to where they started.

STRANDED

Then, when they are involved in a crash, it soon becomes clear that once you’ve entered the town, there’s no escape. But that is only the beginning of the nightmare for the family: father Jim (Eion Bailey), wife Tabitha (Catalina Sandino Moreno) and their children Julie (Hannah Cheramy) and Ethan (Simon Webster).
