Mark Hamill strikes back as a medieval swordsman in Knightfall
Star Wars actor Mark Hamill swaps his lightsaber for a medieval sword this week when he joins the cast of Knightfall for a second series of the gritty historical drama inspired by the Knights Templar.
The 67-year-old actor plays Master Talus, who trains the Knights Templars’ new recruits in the art of combat, a role that sees Hamill kitted out in a fake bushy beard, wig and facial scars.
‘I do a lot of voiceover work where you can show up looking like a slob, so it was a shock to do my wardrobe fitting for Knightfall with my tunic and boots,’ he says.
‘It took over an hour every day to be turned into Master Talus, but it was very liberating to look in the mirror and see a different person.’
