Tim Roth is a troubled police chief out for vengeance in a remote canadian town.
A sleepy Canadian mountain town is rocked by violence and murder in new thriller Tin Star, which comes to Sky Atlantic this week.
Set in the fictional settlement of Little Big Bear, the 10-part drama stars Tim Roth as British cop – and recovering alcoholic – Jim Worth, who has moved to the town hoping for a fresh start with wife Angela (Genevieve O’Reilly), teenage daughter Anna (Abigail Lawrie) and son Petey (Rupert Turnbull).
His life is soon interrupted when an oil company, represented by enigmatic employee Elizabeth Bradshaw (Christina Hendricks), sets up a refinery nearby and Jim struggles to handle the influx of workers and organised crime that quickly infiltrate the community.
But when a seemingly random act of violence strikes his family, Jim’s world is blown apart and his old demons begin to resurface.
We spoke to Bafta-winning Roth, 56, star of hit films including Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs and Planet of the Apes to find out more…
