Previously released in cinemas, this feature-length documentary tells the bizarre true story of three men who made the chance discovery that they were identical triplets who’d been separated and adopted as part of a science experiment.
Born in New York in 1961, brothers Edward, David and Robert were placed in separate families from very different backgrounds by an adoption agency and a pair of psychiatrists.
In 1980, Robert, then 19, started college in upstate New York. But instead of feeling like the new kid, he found fellow students chatting to him as if they knew him.
‘Everybody was being extremely friendly to me,’ recalls Robert.
