When Leanne agreed to help the police nail drugs boss Harvey, little did she realise that doing the ‘right thing’ would be quite so dangerous.

Since then, little Sam has been kidnapped, Nick has been threatened, and Gary Windass has narrowly avoided being shot dead. No wonder she’s petrified as she prepares to give evidence at Harvey’s trial this week.

‘Leanne is terrified, and doesn’t know if telling the truth or lying is the best thing to do,’ says Jane Danson, who plays the conflicted mum.

‘She makes her mind up one day, then changes it the next.’
