Charity’s on a desperate mission to track down Johnny’s father

Vanessa’s bowel cancer diagnosis has thrown up many difficult questions – like what will happen to her young son, Johnny, if she dies? Keen to get things in order should the worst happen, the vet initially asked pal Rhona to be Johnny’s guardian when she wrongly thought Charity didn’t want the responsibility. Since then, however, she and her fiancée have talked things through and agreed that Charity will adopt Johnny, making the lad’s future secure and bringing their blended family closer together.
