Once upon a time, there was a young maiden called Gemma. She lived in a humble back street in a town called Weatherfield, where she wore ill-fitting clothes and spent long, arduous days serving doner kebabs and chips to the commoners.

One day, Gemma wangled her way into a posh party, where she met a handsome prince called Henry Newton. Gemma fell in love with Henry and he with her, but when the party was raided by the cops, she was forced to flee. Poor Henry was heartbroken, but just when he feared he would never see Gemma again, he happened upon one of her strappy sandals, which she had left behind in her haste.

Could it lead him to his true love? Star Dolly-Rose Campbell, who plays irrepressible Gemma, picks up the story…

She sees a house party advertised online, and thinks, ‘Great – free booze!’ She’s had a tough ride lately, what with Rita’s illness, and thinks it’s time to let loose and enjoy herself a bit. She always makes quite an effort when she goes out, and this time she puts a nice dress on and some nice fancy shoes. So she’s all dolled up.
