Now, a 12-part follow-up series, launching on Disney+ this week, sees Josh Peck play San Francisco-based US marshal Scott Turner Jr, the son of Tom’s original cop.
Following his dad’s sudden death, shocked Scott learns that he has been left a special inheritance: another seemingly uncontrollable French mastiff, named Hooch after his adorable predecessor.
The pooch soon proves a loving, loyal companion and a dab hand – or should that be paw?! – at sniffing out clues to help his owner crack cases. But can Hooch also assist Scott and his sister Laura (Desperate Housewives’ Lyndsy Fonseca) uncover the truth behind their father’s mysterious demise?
TV Times joined Josh, 34, best known for sitcom Drake & Josh, and for voicing possum Eddie in the Ice Age franchise, for a video chat to find out more...
What makes Scott tick?
