Tom Daley has never been one to shy away from a challenge. But now the Olympic gold-medal winning diver is testing himself like never before, all in the name of Comic Relief.

In a new BBC1 documentary, cameras follow him through nine weeks of training before an epic 290-mile journey across the south of England – involving rowing, marathon running, open-water swimming and cycling – to raise money for Red Nose Day.

Beginning at the London Aquatics Centre, where he earned his first Olympic medal in 2012, Tom battles rain, fog and 40mph winds over the four-day trek before finally arriving in his hometown of Plymouth in Devon.

Along the way, Tom will catch up with a host of famous faces, including his diving partner Matty Lee, plus Eddie Izzard and Davina McCall, who have both previously undertaken challenges for Comic Relief.

Here, Tom, 27, tells us more about his incredible feat…
