Abi pops the question after finding her fella at death’s door
Alison Slade
Marry me, Kev!

We’ve never really seen Abi Franklin as the marrying type, and can’t help thinking that the mechanic would rather be having her engine serviced by Peter Barlow than Kevin Webster, whose idea of living dangerously is changing teatime from 5 pm to six.

But when she rescues her boyfriend and his sister, Debbie, from the Bistro fridge this week, she ends up getting down on one knee and proposing.

Marriage is the last thing on Kev’s mind as he and Debbie shiver away among the steaks. Abi thinks her boyfriend is with son Jack on a school camping trip, so has no cause for concern, and she also believes that Ray Crosby – the man responsible for the lock-in – is dead.
