Kathy Burke: Money Talks

Monday, C4 HD, 10pm

In the 1990s, Kathy Burke became a household name playing socially diverse comedy characters in Harry Enfield & Chums – such as snobby Pam ‘Considerably Richer Than You’ Herbert and impoverished Waynetta Slob.

So it’s fitting that her new two-part documentary, Kathy Burke: Money Talks, explores the nation’s attitudes to wealth and poverty. In the first episode, Burke meets property tycoon Alfie Best, who grew up in poverty and left school at 12, but he started his first business two years later and now has a fortune of more than £300 million.
