Christopher Eccleston on why he’s thrilled to return as grandad Maurice in the second series of the hit drama
Christopher Eccleston is delighted to be reprising his role as grandfather Maurice for the much anticipated second series of BBC1’s groundbreaking drama The A Word.
‘Maurice is a gift of a character,’ says Christopher, 53. ‘I love playing him because I’d never really been asked to do comedy before, and there’s a strong comedic element to his characterisation.
