It’s been quite a while since Weatherfield had a nutty woman, but two years after we got shot of fruit loop Jade Rowan, we now have Lydia Chambers.

The single mum is on a mission to destroy ex-boyfriend Adam Barlow, and this week convinces poor Sarah that she and the lawyer have been having an affair.

Lydia dated Adam for six months while they were at university together, and was left smarting when he recently passed off their relationship as nothing more than a meaningless fling.
