Nothing could possibly forge a more lasting friendship than saving a life, and that’s exactly what brave nipper Brandon Carpenter did for his mate Isaac Figallo.
Brandon, 11, is one of Australia’s heroes and his little mate, seven-year-old Isaac knows all too well he’s one lucky lad, thanks to his friend’s quick thinking.
In November last year at a local regional nipper carnival in the Queensland coastal town of Hervey Bay, observant Brandon noticed Isaac wander off– but what happened next was something no one saw coming.
“We were waiting for our next race – one minute Isaac was there and the next minute he was gone,” Brandon tells Woman’s Day from his Moore Park Surf Club, where he’s been a nipper since 2016.
