Country music star Catherine Britt thanks a trailblazing breast cancer survivor for making her motherhood dream come true.
Cuddling up to her baby boy Hank, country music star Catherine Britt says he’s her “Christmas miracle”.
Not only did the soon-to-be-one-year-old arrive 10 days early last Christmas Eve, but Catherine beat the odds to fall pregnant naturally after undergoing treatment for breast cancer.
The 33-year-old from Newcastle, NSW, says she owes her happiness to women like Natasha Eaton, who braved an international clinical trial to avoid infertility while she was having breast cancer treatment.
“She was amazing and brave to have taken it on,” Catherine, who was given the all clear in 2016, tells Woman’s Day. “I 100 per cent believe I wouldn’t have been able to have Hank if I didn’t take the drug she trialled during my treatment. It was pretty cool to have met her. Our stories are so similar they’re almost identical.”
DESPAIRING THOUGHT
Natasha, who also hails from Newcastle, was 32 when she felt a small lump in her breast while chatting on the phone in 2008.
