The Monaco royal is clearly smitten with her tall, dark, handsome – and married – boyfriend
THERE’S never a dull moment when it comes to the love-lives of Europe’s most glamorous royal family. Death, divorce, scandal and intrigue – this lot have been through it all.
And the recent antics of Charlotte Casiraghi are continuing the tradition of a clan that’s long been thought to be cursed when it comes to lasting love and uncomplicated happiness. Recent pictures of the 30-year-old brunette beauty raised many eyebrows when it emerged the man with whom she’d been enjoying a romantic weekend in the French countryside is married and a father of one.
Dimitri Rassam (35), a film producer who divides his time between Paris and Los Angeles, is just Charlotte’s type – tall, dark, handsome and creative.
But he’s married – his wife is top Russian model Masha Novoselova (32), whom he wed in 2010 and with whom he has a six-year-old daughter, Dasha.
Now sources say he’s left his family and is living in Paris with Charlotte, the daughter of Princess Caroline of Monaco.
It’s not known yet whether Dimitri and Masha have filed for divorce but they were last seen together in public at the Cesar Film Awards – which honours the best French films – in Paris in February last year.
Whatever the situation is, Charlotte doesn’t seem to be too fazed by it. She looked smitten with her new beau as the two stocked up on groceries in the City of Lights before heading off to her new country home in the charming village of Barbizon.
