HE HAS 34 movies under his belt, has appeared in at least 28 TV shows, hosted plenty of bigticket events, including the Oscars, narrated a dozen documentaries and carved a successful stage career on Broadway too.
Which is why, at the age of 62, Alec Baldwin might be tempted to take a back seat from all the work, put his feet up and start dreaming of winning a lifetime achievement award.
But is he heck. Alec is everywhere: he appears in the latest instalment of Mission: Impossible and features in the hit animated franchise The Boss Baby. He hosts an acclaimed podcast, Here’s the Thing, and won an Emmy for his impression of Donald Trump on comedy skit show Saturday Night Live.
He’s also authored two books – his own memoir and a mock presidential one.
Alec can’t afford to even start thinking of retirement. He has a brood of small children – and the last one was only born in September. When tiny Eduardo Pau Lucas is 20, his dad will be in his eighties so there’s no resting on any laurels.
To say the actor and his wife, Hilaria (36), are prolific in the baby producing department would be an understatement. In addition to Edu they’re parents to Carmen (7), Rafael (5), Leonardo (4) and Romeo (2) – that’s five kids in seven years.
Judging by Hilaria’s Instagram page, life is a whirlwind of nappy changes, messy mealtimes and bedtime lullabies.
Alec also has an older daughter, Ireland (25), from his first marriage to actress Kim Basinger (67). Littered among Hilaria’s candid snaps of the Baldwinitos, as she calls her clan, are pics of Ireland doing Carmen’s makeup and holding Leonardo while her dad and Hilaria clutch the rest.
