A Virtual Treat from the Comfort of Home
Apparel|September 2020
Apparel talks to CMAI President, Mr Rakesh Biyani, of his Opinion on the Online Version of the 71st NGF which will Commence on September 10, 2020
A Virtual Treat from the Comfort of Home

1. The 71st NGF will be a virtual one. That makes it a very unique Fair. Do you think it will attract the same amount of footfall as the physical fairs organised in the past?

Online Fairs are in a nascent and untried stage at the moment. No one really knows how the Retailers will react. On one hand, with no physical constraints of time, cost, or travel, visitors could go up manifold. On the other hand, with market conditions being what they are, some Retailers may be reluctant to visit – not because of the format, but because of the timing.

2. What kind of preparation did it take to organise something as gigantic as the 71st NGF on a virtual scale?
