Motivation isn’t easy, but remember that consistency will get you to the place you want to be, physically and mentally. If you’re in a rut, take time out for walks or go on a fitness holiday, like a trek or a Muay Thai camp in Phuket. Pick what drives you, but don’t give yourself more than a week off.
I often set-up mini challenges to stay committed and focussed on my exercise regime. I switch things by doing a group class or buddy up for a synchronised workout. Sometimes training outdoors serves a different set of challenges and keep things interesting. Simply changing your music playlist also makes a big difference. You can also take on a new skill-based workout, like dancing, kickboxing, aerial yoga or rock climbing. This change in routine could help you break through a weight-loss plateau and even prevent muscle overuse.”
