When Caroline Williams, a star tennis player, isn’t winning matches on the court, she’s snagging some much-needed rest in her bedroom. And after spending hours on Pinterest and Tumblr, she decided her current space was “plain and boring” and in desperate need of an upgrade.
“I really wanted to add a sense of style and make it feel like me,” explains Caroline. So she approached her mom, Debra, with some inspo. “I love to sew and build things,” says Debra. “When Caroline came to me with her idea, it was like a lightbulb went off in my head. An hour later, I walked out of Home Depot with everything I needed, then found some Indian block print fabric we loved and, voila!, we constructed a canopy.”
