COLORPLAY ‘N COCKTAILS

This party season, the runway gods don’t want you to play it safe—paint that dancefloor technicolour. Fun swipes and swathes of bright colour are right on trend, and there’s plenty of ways to pull them off. Use a rich cobalt as under-liner, a monotone block of pink on your lid, or add some edge to your smokey eyes with a jewel-toned marsala or ultraviolet hue.

If you want to push your limits, you can colourblock by coupling it with a bold lip colour, but all the best iterations of it on the runway seem to favour an otherwise nude face that allows the colour to really pop without seeming too OTT.

A MERRY, BERRY CHRISTMAS

The wine lip trend showed up under our Christmas trees last year, and it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere any time soon.
